Governance: Leading by Example

Governance

Baker Tilly International is structured as a network of independent member firms operating locally in countries worldwide.

Baker Tilly International Limited is a member services organisation and does not provide professional services. Client services are delivered by the independent member firms of Baker Tilly International.

The international board has ultimate responsibility for upholding the values, standards and procedures of Baker Tilly International, and sets the network's strategy and priorities. Board members are, or have previously been, senior partners (or the equivalent) drawn from member firms across the network and are elected for a four-year term by partners exercising their votes through their member firms. The International Board comprises directors from each of our regions and represents member firms of different sizes.

The CEO and president, Ted Verkade and the chief operating officer, Ben Lloyd, lead the international Global Office in London, which is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the network.

The cost of co-ordinating the network is funded by our member firms. Funding is budget-based and based on each member's size and performance.

For more information on our governance structure see our Global Annual Review.
